There have been discussions about discontinuing Symantec Endpoint Protection so IT groups should be hesitant to install it. IT groups should consider using Trend Micro Security for Macintosh since managed product that allows IT groups more control. The software is located at: \\titan\software$\FSP\Symantec AntiVirus for Mac\Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 This version supplants version 11, and may be installed over version 11 to upgrade, or installed on a fresh system as a new installation. Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 was just placed on our FSP network shares for use with all versions of OSX 10.7 and below. Users are advised to convert to the Trend Micro product for anti-virus protection for Macintosh computers.
